Four drivers fail to stop at school zone sign

Do Durham drivers obey school zone signs?

Well, Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS) yesterday did a spot check near a school in Oshawa, and found four drivers in violation.

Not only did they ignore the sign, they also ignored the crossing guard who was on duty at the location during yesterday’s rainy morning.

Officers from DRPS East Division received a Road Watch complaint for the area of Seneca Trail Public School, said a police tweet.

Four drivers were ticketed within 30 minutes for Fail to Stop, said the police.

“It’s a Community Safety Zone where a crossing guard was present,” it added.

A few days ago, two G2 drivers were caught ignoring the stop sign near a school.
