19-year old woman in hospital after Bowmanville crash

A 19-year-old female was injured in a serious collision involving two vehicles in Clarington Tuesday afternoon.

On January 4 at about 2:55 pm, members of East Division were called to Bowmanville Avenue and Clarington Concession Road 7, for a two-vehicle collision. One of the drivers, a 19-year-old female who was operating a black Volkswagen Passat was transported from the scene by paramedics to a Toronto-area trauma centre with serious injuries. The driver of a white GMC pick-up truck was not injured in the collision, said a police statement.

Members of the DRPS Collision Investigation Unit attended the scene to conduct an investigation. The roads in the area were closed for several hours while evidence was collected.
