46-year old pedestrian dead after being hit by SUV

Durham Police yesterday announced that a 46-year-old male has died after being struck by a vehicle in Pickering on Tuesday night.

On December 20 at about 7:20 pm, officers from West Division responded after a pedestrian was struck by a SUV on Kingston Road east of Rosebank Road. The 46-year-old pedestrian was pronounced deceased shortly after being transported to a Toronto-area trauma hospital. The driver of the SUV remained at the scene and cooperated with investigating officers, said a police statement.

Members of the DRPS – Collision Investigation Unit, attended the scene to investigate. The area of the roadway was closed for several hours while evidence was collected.
