57-year old man reported for touching two youth

Durham Police yesterday said a 57-year-old male is facing sexual assault and assault charges after two youth reported being touched inappropriately in Bowmanville.

On Sunday, September 10, in the area of Quick Trail and Green Road, members of East Division responded to reports of a male inappropriately touching two youth.

A group of youth were walking in the area when a male approached them and asked about bus stop information. The male then began touching two of the youth inappropriately, said a police statement.

He was charged and held for a bail hearing.

Investigators want to ensure there are no further victims and are appealing for any witnesses to come forward. Name, photo and further details available at www.drps.ca.
