Another tow-truck arson in Oshawa, police seek info

Durham Police yesterday announced they are are looking for a suspect after a suspicious tow-truck fire in Oshawa.

On Sunday September 10 at about 3:10 am, members of East Division responded to a vehicle fire on Capilano Crescent in Oshawa.

Officers arrived to find a White Chevrolet tow-truck fully engulfed in flames. Oshawa Fire Services extinguished the fire. There were no reported injuries, said a police statement.

Investigators are treating this as an arson.

Investigators are asking for any witnesses or homeowners in the area with video surveillance that would assist in identifying the suspect(s), to contact them.

On August 31, a tow truck was set on fire in Oshawa (see below).
