Metrolinx yesterday announced that 131 parking spaces at Durham College Oshawa GO train station will be temporarily blocked later this month.
On Monday, September 25, a portion of the main east parking lot will close to accommodate municipal work to relocate hydro poles in this area, said a notice.
It said the work will take about a month to complete.
131 parking spaces will be blocked off during this work (see map below). Metrolinx advised those who normally park in this section to consider:
- Using the west overflow lot.
- If arriving after 9:30 am and travelling with a companion, you may use a vacant carpool space.
- If arriving after 11 am Monday – Friday, you may use a vacant reserved parking spaces as apart of the reserve parking pilot. Saturday and Sunday, reserved parking is available to all on a first come first served basis.
- Driving to Whitby GO directly, where there are plenty of parking options.
How you access the station will remain unchanged, Metrolinx said.
