58-year old driver killed in north Durham car crash

A 58-year-old male driver was pronounced deceased after a serious motor-vehicle collision near Uxbridge on Friday.

On November 5 shortly after 8 am, members of North Division responded to a report of a collision on Regional Road 47 at Uxbridge Concession Road #2. The collision involved an eastbound white Dodge Journey that collided with a westbound black Volkswagen Rabbit. The 58-year-old male driver of the Volkswagen was pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver of the eastbound Dodge was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, said a police statement.

Members of the DRPS Collision Investigation Unit attended the scene to conduct an investigation. The roads in the area were closed for several hours while evidence was collected.
