A 75-year-old registered nurse has been arrested and charged with sexual assault at a long-term care home.
On Tuesday, October 15, the suspect was employed as a nurse at Fosterbrooke Long-Term Care Home located at 330 King Avenue West in Newcastle. During his shift, the suspect was located in the room of a resident where he was touching the victim inappropriately.
A 75-year-old male, of Oshawa was charged and released on an undertaking. Name and further details available at www.drps.ca.
The suspect previously worked at the following facilities (with approximate years of employment):
Whitby Mental Health Centre (now known as Ontario Shores) – 1980-2010
Altima Long-Term Care (now known as Glen Rouge Community/Long-Term Care) – 2011-2015
Fosterbrooke Long-Term Care – 2011 – 2024
Police are concerned there may be more victims.
