78-homes development approved in Oshawa

Oshawa city council has passed by-law number 59-2024 on April 29, to permit a development of a community consisting of 78 new homes.

The permission has been granted for 1081 and 1093 Harmony Road North and 836 Pinecrest Road, said a city statement.

The approval permits 33 single detached dwellings, 24 semi-detached dwellings and 21 block townhouse dwellings subject to special zoning regulations related to height, setbacks, parking, landscaped open space, lot coverage, lot area, lot frontage, and driveway length.

The effect of the “h-90” holding symbol is to ensure that the proposed development will not proceed until such time as site plan approval is obtained from the city, appropriate arrangements have been made for adequate servicing, stormwater management, foundation drainage, tree preservation and transportation services to the satisfaction of the city and region, and noise mitigation to the satisfaction of the city, the statement said.

It said all written and oral submissions received by the City of Oshawa were considered in the making of this decision.

Any person may appeal to the Ontario Land Tribunal in respect of the by-law by filing with the city clerk , not later than May 22, 2024
