Woman who robbed Subway arrested

Police have arrested a 33-year-old female from Pickering who robbed a Subway in Oshawa in June 2021.

On Sunday, June 20, 2021, members of Central East Division were called to a Subway restaurant located at Simcoe Street South and King Street West for the report of an armed person. The female suspect entered the restaurant and made conversation with the employee. The suspect entered the employee area and armed herself with a steel pipe before demanding the victim to open the cash register. The suspect stole cash from the register and fled on foot.

Investigators were able to identify the suspect and arrested her yesterday.

Lindsay Stewart, age 33 of Greenmount Street in Pickering, has been charged with: Robbery; Disguise with Intent and Possess Weapon. She was released on an Undertaking.
