65-year-old Pickering man caught with stolen cars on property

Durham Police have arrested a male for auto theft in Pickering and have recovered two vehicles and a trailer.

On Wednesday, February 12 at about 4:45 pm, members of West Division said they responded to a rural property in the area of York Durham Line and 9th Concession Road after a stolen vehicle that had been tracked to this location. Officers located the vehicle and an additional stolen vehicle. The suspect was arrested when he returned to the property.

With the assistance of members of DRPS’ West Criminal Investigations Branch and Project Attire – Auto Theft Unit, a Criminal Code search warrant was executed on the property resulting in the recovery of a stolen trailer. In total, two vehicles and a trailer were recovered, said police.

A 65-year-old male, of Pickering was charged and released on an undertaking. Name and further details available at www.drps.ca.
