Durham police are looking to identify a suspect in a case of fraud.
The victim received a phone call from someone claiming to be from their cell phone provider. The victim provided an authentication code and the suspect disabled the victim’s phone in a “sim swap”, police said.
The suspect also opened a credit card in the victim’s name and made several purchases.
He is described as: male, Black, beard and short black hair. He was wearing a white t-shirt, black track pants with Jordan logo and white sandals with socks.
