Search for suspect who set fire at Oshawa community centre

Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS) is seeking a suspect responsible for an act of arson at the Delpark Homes Community Centre in Oshawa last week. The fire caused significant damage and is currently under investigation.

The incident occurred on Tuesday, September 30 at approximately 2:50 pm. Members of East Division and emergency services responded to a fire reported inside the men’s washroom at the community centre, located at 1661 Harmony Road North.

The deliberate fire resulted in estimated damages of upwards of $$10,000.

Investigators are asking the public for assistance. Anyone with cellphone, dashcam, or surveillance footage from the area around the Delpark Homes Community Centre on the afternoon of September 30, 2025, or any other information about this incident, is urged to contact police.
