The 50-year-old male suspect who gained entry to an home in Oshawa using an excuse that he needed to use the washroom has been arrested in Toronto.
The sexual assault occurred last Tuesday November 4 at about 9:40 pm in the area of Adelaide Avenue and Thornton Road in Oshawa. The suspect knocked on the front door of a resident he is familiar with to ask if he could park his vehicle on their property.
The suspect then asked the victim if he could use their washroom. He then physically assaulted the victim before exposing himself. The victim got away and called the police. Members of Central West Division responded to call but the suspect had fled before they arrived.
The male remains in custody of the Toronto Police Service. The warrant belonging to DRPS will be executed in the coming days. Further information on charges will be provided then, police said.
