RIDE Alert: Watch out for police stops on the roads

Errant drivers need to beware as today, Friday 14 November, marks the launch of the 2025 Festive RIDE Campaign.

Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS) and local agencies are launching the 2025 Festive RIDE Campaign with a strong message about the dangers of impaired driving.

Hosted by DRPS, this year’s launch will take place at the DRPS Operations Training Centre in Whitby at 10 am.

Featured speakers include Solicitor General Michael Kerzner; Police Chief Peter Moreira; Trisha Dosaj, Chapter President of Durham Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD); and John Ongaro, Durham Region Chapter Vice President MADD.
