19-year old shooter leaves female with serious injuries

Durham police have arrested a suspect after a shooting in Oshawa left one victim with serious injuries.

On Sunday, November 9 at about 10:20 am, members of Central East Division responded to shooting at a residence in the area of Simcoe Street North and Bond Street West.

Officers arrived on scene and located a female who had been shot. The victim was transported to a local area hospital with serious, non-life-threatening injuries.

The male suspect aged 19 from Waterdown fled the area prior to police arrival. The suspect was located and arrested without incident on November 13.

He was held for a bail hearing. Name and further details available at www.drps.ca.
