Durham police yesterday said the driver in a single vehicle collision that occurred in Clarington has been charged with impaired operation.
On Wednesday, September 10, at around 9:25 pm members from East Division responded to a single motor vehicle collision in the area of Clarington Concession Road 10 and Bowmanville Avenue.
Two adult males were in a Dune Buggy on a dirt road trail when the driver lost control and the vehicle rolled over.
The males were transported to local area hospitals before being air lifted to a Toronto-area trauma center in serious life-threatening condition. Both have since been updated to stable condition.
A man age 39 from Scugog is charged and released on an undertaking. Name and further details available at www.drps.ca.
Members of the DRPS – Collision Investigation Unit attended the scene to conduct an investigation. Speed is believed to be a factor in this collision, which is still under investigation.
