Durham police offers its services to stunt drivers

DRPS Traffic Services yesterday issued an open invitation to speedsters and other stunt drivers in Durham Region to avail of its unmatched services.

“Caught a stunt driver [top image] today. Zero stars. Would not recommend. Service included roadside suspension, vehicle impound and bonus court date. Consequences applied as advertised,” said a police alert.

Salter truck Rear-ended: OPP

OPP Highway Safety Division, meanwhile, warned road users to be prepared for the changing weather patterns.

“Wet roads may still be slippery after the overnight snow. Salters have been out keeping the roads clear. One salter truck was rear-ended overnight,” said the OPP.

“Fortunately no serious injuries were reported. Keep your eyes up when driving and be prepared for changing traffic patterns, it advised.

Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS) recognized yesterday as the Pink Shirt Day – a day dedicated to kindness, respect, and ending bullying.

“Let’s create a safe space for everyone,” it said.

“Bullying has no place in our communities, and together, we can make a difference. Take a stand, be kind, and speak up when you see someone in need,” the DRPS said.
