Aggravated Assault: Man runs over victim with his car

A 37-year-old male is facing serious charges after intentionally running over another male with his vehicle in Clarington.

On Saturday, September 3 at around 3:40 am, members from East Division were called to the area of Concession Street E and Trudeau Drive. There they located a male who was laying on the sidewalk suffering from severe life-altering injuries. Investigators were able to quickly determine that the male was intentionally run over by a vehicle after getting into a verbal argument with the suspect, said a police statement.

This is an isolated incident, as the two males are known to one another and there is no risk to public safety, it added.

The suspect from Clarington, has been charged and held for a bail hearing. Name and further details available at www.drps.ca.
