Crashed biker with life-threatening injuries, now stable

A motorcycle driver sustained serious injuries in a collision involving his motorcycle and a car over the long weekend.

On Friday, September 2 at about 8:04 pm, members from Central East Division attended a two-vehicle collision that occurred near the intersection of Park Road South and Fenlon Crescent in Oshawa. A Yamaha sport-style motorcycle was travelling northbound and struck the rear of a sedan, who also travelling northbound, said a police statement.

The 29-year-old male motorcyclist was ejected. He was transported to a Toronto-area trauma centre, in life-threatening condition. The motorcyclist remains in hospital and his condition has been downgraded to serious but stable condition. The driver of the Saturn sedan was not injured, police said.

Members of the DRPS – Collision Investigation Unit, attended the scene to conduct an investigation. The area of the roadway was closed for several hours while evidence was collected.
