Ajax urges Lower Duffins Creek be left off MZO

Ajax Council has unanimously opposed any development on Provincially Significant Wetlands (PSWs) during a recent meeting, and has asked the Minister of Natural Resources and Forestry not to issue building permits on Lower Duffins Creek Wetland Complex.

It asked for further environmental impact studies, including  three-season assessments.

Reaffirming its opposition to the Durham Live MZO (Minister Zoning Order), the council urged Toronto and Region Conservation Authority (TRCA), to not approve any related permits from the developer.
