Ajax waives new Grandview Kid’s $30,000 charges

Ajax Council has approved the waiving of the new Grandview interest charges of up to $30,000.

The new Grandview facility will be a centre of excellence for paediatric rehabilitation in the community of Ajax. The building will be home to a mixture of rehabilitation, medical and clinical services, including both research and education. It is believed the new new facility will positively impact Ajax families who are currently wait-listed and are spending time commuting out of town for appointments.

Ajax has donated 5 acres of land on Harwood Avenue North, where the new Grandview Kids will be built.

Grandview anticipates submitting a site application by the end of June.

It has requested that interest payments on development charges be waived as a bridge from the date that their site plan application is submitted to the date that the building permit is issued.
