Theodore Tugboat to dock this evening at Oshawa

Theodore TOO, a 65-foot life-sized reproduction of the CBC television character ‘Theodore Tugboat’ is returning to the Oshawa Port for a two-day visit.

Theodore will arrive at the Oshawa Port dock in the evening on July 8 and depart Oshawa on July 11.

A city statement said the arrival and departures are weather permitting.

How to visit Theodore

Community members are encouraged to stop by Theodore’s tent for interactive activities. The crew will share information about Theodore’s mission and teach participants how to wrap a rope, toss a line, tie knots and more.

Theodore TOO was built at Snyder’s Shipyard in Dayspring, Nova Scotia and launched on April 19, 2000, while his official birthday (certificate day) is May 5, 2000.
