Ambulance with lights and sirens coming, you STOP!

DRPS Traffic Services yesterday reemphasized that when you see a Durham Paramedics vehicle with lights and sirens coming you STOP!

“You don’t blast through an amber light nearly striking the ambulance.

“Oh, and when the officer attempts to stop you – you … STOP. Surprising I know,” said a police tweet.

Thousands of dollars in tickets were issued (above image), said the tweet.

The incident took place in the Town of Ajax.

In response to Durham Paramedics, DRPS said: “Sometimes we shake our heads – you or our other friends in the big red trucks are on the way to render aid to someone, could be my loved ones or their loved ones, and yet the level of entitlement or ignorance some drivers display is unmatched.”
