Common Excuse: My GPS told me to go this way

It was mostly a trucks monitoring day for Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS) yesterday.

In Clarington, officers from DRPS East Division had stopped three commercial motor vehicles for driving on the 6th Concession in the morning.

‘NO TRUCKS’ signs posted between Townline and 57. Violation brings a Highway Traffic Act Sec. 182 (2) fine of $110 and two demerit points.

The common excuse: “My GPS told me to go this way.”

Uxbridge: DRPS North Division officers found a dump truck driver who failed to obey the instructions indicated on this sign on Mills Street in Uxbridge.
