Applications will be accepted from today (Monday, July 5, 2021) until Friday July 23, 2021 during regular business hours, 8:30 am. to 4:30 pm. Interested applicants are required to make an appointment with the Municipal Clerk to submit their application. Applicants must submit a complete application form, along with a $100 administrative fee, two (2) pieces of identification confirming residency, and a two (2) letter-sized page document identifying why the individual believes they are qualified and the best candidate.

Two virtual open houses will be held for interested applicants to learn more about the process and the expectations of the position. The open houses will be held on Thursday, July 8, 2021 at 6:30 pm. and Wednesday, July 14, 2021 at 2:00 pm. Pre-registration is required.

At the end of the application period, the Clerk will verify eligibility of each applicant. A list of certified applicants along with their written submissions will be provided to council as part of the Special Council agenda package.

A Special Council meeting will be held virtually on Monday, August 9, 2021 at 1:30 pm. whereby each qualified applicant will provide a 5 minute presentation to council. Following all presentations, council will decide on who the successful applicant will be to fill the Office of Councillor – Ward 3 position for the remainder of the term.
