Bethesda House, a local nonprofit dedicated to supporting individuals and families affected by gender-based violence, has announce its upcoming Community Appreciation Event on Saturday, August 17th, at Rotary Park in Bowmanville.
This event, scheduled from 11 am to 1 pm, aims to raise awareness about the organization’s cause while expressing gratitude to the community for its steadfast support over the years.
Bethesda House has been serving the community for 32 years, offering shelter, counseling, and advocacy services to those impacted by gender-based violence. The annual Community Appreciation Event is a key opportunity for the organization to connect with supporters, donors, and community members who have contributed to its mission.
“We are excited to host our community at Rotary Park and express our heartfelt appreciation for their ongoing support,” said Laura Burch, Executive Director of Bethesda House. “This event is our way of saying thank you and spreading awareness about the crucial services we provide to those affected by gender-based violence.”
The organizers say the event promises fun for the whole family, with a variety of activities including games, appearances by beloved mascots, and free face painting for children. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn more about Bethesda House’s programs and services, as well as ways to get involved in supporting the organization’s mission.
“We encourage everyone in Bowmanville and surrounding areas to join us for a day of celebration and community spirit,” added Burch. “Together, we can make a positive impact in the lives of individuals and families affected by domestic violence.”
The Bethesda House Community Appreciation Event is open to the public and free of charge.
