On Thursday, May 28, the annual Golf Fore Grandview Kids charity tournament will be taking place.
The charity tournament is a nearly 30-year tradition in Durham Region that raises funds for Grandview Kids, the Children’s Treatment Centre in the region for children and youth with physical, communication, and developmental disabilities.
A GoFundMe has been set up to help support the cause. An Oshawa resident, Bradley Camus; who has benefited from these services said that he has “experienced first hand how the support they provide to children and families in our community is truly life-changing”.
As of last night, $2,807 raised of $2,000 target had been raised.
Camus has played in the Grandview Kids annual tournament for years. This year he hopes to make a larger impact by aiming to collect donations which are provided directly to Grandview Kids on the day of the tournament.
Grandview Kids – founded in 1953 – is an independently operated not-for-profit organization. It provides specialized programs, outpatient clinical treatment and support to children and youth with physical, communication and developmental needs and their families.
