Pickering has received $16,380,715 in non-tax gaming revenue during OLG’s 2025 – 2026 fiscal year (April 1, 2025 to March 31, 2026).
Since Pickering Casino Resort opened in July 2021, the city has received $75,977,449 through its Municipal Contribution Agreement with OLG, said a Pickering statement
It said the city continues to reinvest gaming revenues into programs, services, and infrastructure that benefit residents. To date, casino revenues have supported the following Current and Capital Budget items:
- Community grants supporting local non-profit organizations and community events, including festival programming
- City Centre planning, design, and implementation work
- Debt reduction and other measures that strengthen the city’s long-term financial sustainability
- Parks, recreation, and facility improvements, including upgrades to community and sport infrastructure
- Municipal infrastructure and service enhancements, including public realm, traffic, and fire service improvements
In 2026, casino revenues are planned to continue supporting priorities across the city, including community grants, parks and recreation improvements, municipal facility and public infrastructure projects, and other strategic investments that align with council’s budget priorities and help enhance quality of life for residents.
