Children loose, playing in back of car, is a big no no

Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS) yesterday reminded drivers to be mindful of children in the back seat of their moving car.

When the adults in the front seat are buckled, but the rear seat is so full of stuff that the young daughter is forced to play in the footwell of the passenger section in the small car… you’ll meet our team,” warned a tweet from DRPS Traffic Services.

“Absolutely unacceptable. We are glad our officer spotted this,” said the tweet without mentioning further details.

However, the accompanying copy of a ticket (below) shows a fine of $240.

According to the address on the ticket, the incident was recorded in Ajax.
