Officers find man lost in water… almost by chance

Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS) officers were at the forefront again – this time managing to save a man who had been in water for almost three quarters of an hour.

DRPS officers working in the marine unit shared their most memorable call on Wednesday.

On routine patrol, they said they located an unmanned jet ski, and so began searching for the driver.

They located the man nearly 1km away.

He had been in the water for 45 minutes, and had no way to call for help, said the police.

Police did not release any further information nor the location of the incident.
