Cooler weather expected as cold front moving in

Even as extreme heat continues today, a cold front will deliver considerably cooler and less humid air to Southern Ontario on Friday.

With increasing cloud cover and a high chance of precipitation today, temperatures will be a bit cooler than the past couple days and are forecast to be in the mid to high twenties, said Environment Canada.

It said extreme heat affects everyone.

“The risks are greater for young children, pregnant women, older adults, people with chronic illnesses and people working or exercising outdoors,” it said adding drink plenty of water even before you feel thirsty and stay in a cool place.”
