Oshawa: Officers located a vehicle with stolen plates on it and seized a firearm after a traffic stop in Oshawa Sunday evening.
On Sunday at 5:15 p.m., members of Central East Division conducted a traffic stop near Richmond Street East and Prince Street in Oshawa. Officers stopped a Ford Expedition that had stolen plates on it. Officers arrested three males, two adults and a young person.
They seized a loaded rifle which was found in the vehicle. The young person was also charged with two shoplifting charges from an ongoing theft investigation in June at a LCBO store in Oshawa.
Garreth Schaefer, age 21, of Elizabeth Street of Toronto, Tomislav Arlov, age 21 of Lawrence Avenue East in Toronto, and a 16-year-old male from Toronto face numerous firearm-related charges.
They were all held for a bail hearing.
