Covid Update: Two new deaths

Durham Health yesterday posted Fifteen new Covid-19 cases for September 13, taking the region’s tally to 26,552 since the count began on February 29, 2020.

Durham’s overall death toll stands at 382, with 224 of them occurring in LTCs. Two new deaths have been reported, one was from an LTC.

Recoveries stand at 26,018. However, there are 152 active covid cases. Four people are hospitalized with one in Intensive Care Unit (ICU). 148 people are in home isolation.

Durham Health reported the highest number of covid cases so far in Ajax.

There were:

  • Three new cases in Pickering
  • Three in Ajax
  • Five in Oshawa
  • Two in Clarington, and
  • Two in Uxbridge

Covid Deaths: 382

Of the 117 reported deaths in Pickering, 87 were in LTC
Of the 68 reported deaths in Ajax, 33 were in LTC
Of the 60 reported deaths in Whitby, 31 in LTC
Of the 68 reported deaths in Oshawa, 39 were in LTC
23 deaths were reported in Clarington [none in LTC]
26 deaths were reported in Uxbridge, 20 in LTC
17 deaths have been reported in Scugog, 14 in LTC
3 deaths have been reported in Brock
