Big upgrades to three Clarington parks start today

Starting Wednesday, September 15, crews will begin working at Penfound Park and Glenabbey Park in Courtice and West Side Park in Bowmanville to replace existing play equipment, sun shelters and paved walkways.

All three parks will see new playground equipment, paved walkways and benches, while West Side Park and Penfound Park will also get new sun shelters.

The parks will remain fenced off during construction, and we ask residents and children to please keep a safe distance from the area. The parks are expected to reopen in late fall.
