Descriptions of three home invasion suspects released

Durham Police investigators are looking for suspects and are appealing for witness following a violent home invasion that occurred in Ajax.

On Wednesday, April 5 at about 11:50 am, members of West Division responded to an address on Old Harwood Avenue in Ajax after three male suspects armed with firearms broke into a residence and assaulted a male. The suspects stole a quantity of items and may have fled in a white passenger van, said a police statement.

A male sustained non-life threatening injuries and was transported to a local area hospital for treatment and released, it added.

The suspects are described as:

  1. Suspect #1: male, Black, 6’1, wearing a dark face covering, all black Nike clothing, dark footwear and black gloves.
  2. Suspect #2: male, Black, 5’9, wearing navy blue Nike jacket, navy blue Nike track pants with white stripe on outer leg, Nike backpack.
  3. Suspect #3: male, Black, 6’2, wearing a mask, all grey Nike clothing, dark coloured shoes and gloves.

A photo of the suspects is attached.

Police are encouraging anyone with information or video footage, including dashcam and home surveillance, to come forward.
