Did officers serve notice to homeless at park?

Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS) yesterday reported its officers had to deal with a homeless person who had taken residence at a neighbourhood park.

“Officers attended a park after receiving public complaints about an unsheltered male setting up camp in a playground,” said a police tweet.

“Officers spent time speaking with the male and provided him with information about services available and the local shelter,” it added.

DRPS did not provide the location of the incident, nor any further details including on whether the person was served notice or evicted.
