Dirt bike driver, passenger killed in head-on crash

Two males are deceased as a result of a collision involving an off-road motorcycle and car, occurring on Highway 47 west in the Town of Uxbridge.

On Saturday June 11 at about 11:05 pm, officers from the North Division were called to a serious collision that occurred on Highway 47 near Parratt Road, said a police statement.

At this time, an off-road motorcycle was travelling east on Highway 47 when it struck a westbound silver Acura sedan in a head-on collision. Both the rider and passenger were deceased at the collision scene. The driver and lone occupant in the Acura sedan was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Members of the DRPS – Collision Investigation Unit, attended the scene to conduct an investigation. The area of the roadway was closed for several hours while evidence was collected.
