Another pole crash closes part of Taunton for repairs

Seems, the famous Durham pole crashers are back.

Every year about a dozen incidents are reported where hydro pole – and sometimes trees – have lovingly attracted drivers. This year has been no different. Maybe there is a group of drivers who don’t like utility companies?

Oshawa Power reported this morning that its crews were hard at work replacing a broken pole in the Taunton and Ritson area.

“No customers are without power, but a section of Taunton Rd. may remain closed until repairs can be completed,” it said.
