Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS) yesterday reported that a vehicle had been “driven into” Lake Ontario.
“Officers from Central East responded to reports of a vehicle being driven into Lake Ontario at the end of Lakeridge Road in Whitby shortly before noon,” said a tweet from the DRPS.
The occupant was taken to a Toronto hospital in stable condition, it said, and asked people to avoid the area to allow the vehicle to be removed.
No further details were released till late last night.
