The Town of Whitby is working to add a temporary cricket ground to Brooklin Memorial Park.
It will be located within the in-field of the walking and running track at 67 Winchester Road East, said a town statement.
The cricket ground will include a temporary pitching mat and wickets, line marking and a storage vault.
It is anticipated to open in summer, and will be in place until a permanent field is constructed. The location and construction timing for the installation of a permanent cricket ground has yet to be determined. Learn more in the March 7th staff report.
