Durham Police disowns ‘Freedom Rally’ video

Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS), yesterday distanced itself from a video on social media, purportedly from one of its officers.

It said it was investigating the upload.

“We were made aware today of a video circulating on social media from one of our uniformed members regarding the Freedom Rally.

“The views expressed in that video do not reflect the views and opinions of DRPS. We are currently looking into this matter,” said a tweet.

In the video, Erin Howard, who claims to be a DRPS officer, is seen welcoming the rally by truckers opposed to the vaccination mandate.
