Drunk Durham driver… at 11 in the morning

DRPS Traffic Services yesterday took a drunk driver off the roads – as early as 11 in the morning.

“It’s 11am, and one of our #TSB officers is over in DRPS Central East Division doing a breath test on a drunk driver,” said a tweet.

“Great work by the frontline officers in removing this person from our roadways,” it said while pointing out that one of these officers is just four days into his career! Well done!”

A little later, DRPS Traffic Services again tweeted: “When it rains, it pours – now that same #TSB officer is in DRPS Central West Division doing a breath test for the frontline”.

This officer is also on day four of deployment! Amazing work by our latest class of DRPS officers in keeping our roadways safe, it added.

$110 fine for heavy tint on car front window

Meanwhile, DRPS North Division has warned that heavy tint on the front window of a vehicle – more than what is allowed – can get you a hefty fine.

“Front window tint hinders a police officer’s ability to see inside a motor vehicle. It is illegal and will cost you a $110 fine, as it did this driver, said a tweet.

The incident was reported from Brock.
