Study on new reservoir for Bowmanville completed

Durham Region yesterday announced that it has completed study for Liberty Street North Pumping Station in Bowmanville.

“The Regional Municipality of Durham has completed an Addendum Report to the Class Environmental Assessment (EA) study for the establishment of a reservoir and pumping station for the municipal water supply system in the Town of Bowmanville in the Municipality of Clarington,” said a statement.

The recommendations from this Class EA Addendum are to proceed with the construction of a new Zone 1 Reservoir and Zone 2 Pumping Station located at 3403 Liberty Street North, it said.

The study process and recommendations are documented within the Class EA Addendum Report. A copy of this report is available for review on the region’s website: durham.ca/LibertyStreetReservoir until November 7.
