Durham Police interrupt drug transaction in Oshawa

Durham Police yesterday said officers interrupted a drug transaction and have since charged a man.

One male suspect is facing numerous charges following an investigation by police after they observed him to be selling narcotics on the streets of Oshawa, said a police statement.

On Tuesday, May 31, members from the Central East Community Response Team were in downtown Oshawa conducting patrols and police enforcement. Officers observed a male involved in what they believed to be a drug transaction with another individual. The suspect was arrested and police seized a quantity of fentanyl, methamphetamine and cocaine with an approximate street value of $7,700.
