Durham Police said two males have been arrested for drug trafficking following an altercation that led to a 9-1-1 call.
On Sunday, October 13 at about 10:25 pm, members of Central East Division responded to the area of Simcoe Street South and John Street, in Oshawa, after a 9-1-1 call was placed.
A witness had observed two males following a lone male, and an altercation to take place, prompting them to call police. The caller has not been identified.
When officers arrived on scene, they quickly located the involved parties and found the two males to be in possession of drugs and weapons. Police seized cocaine, fentanyl and methamphetamine from the suspects, along with a collapsible baton, conducted energy weapon (taser) and knives, police said.
One suspect, age 25, of York, and another, age 28, of Oshawa, were charged and held for bail hearings. Names and further details available at www.drps.ca.
