Early morning home fire being treated as suspicious

Durham Police are appealing for witnesses and video surveillance following a suspicious house fire in Oshawa.

On Sunday, October 6, at about 5:10 am, members of Central East Division responded to a residential fire in the area of Eddystone Path and Okanagan Path. Investigators, along with the Ontario Fire Marshal, are treating the fire as suspicious, said a statement.

The occupants of the residence were home at the time, and able to safely evacuate the residence. There were no physical injuries reported.

Investigators are appealing to anyone with cell phone, dashcam, surveillance footage, or information about this incident to contact police
