Enthusiast Alert: Kars on King returns to Oshawa

Hundreds of classic vehicles will line downtown Oshawa streets for everyone to admire when Kars on King presented by Atria Developments returns on August 26 from 3:30 pm. to 9 pm.

Oshawa is partnering with Autofest NationalsCanadian Automotive MuseumTribute Communities Centre, and the Downtown Oshawa Business Alliance to bring back Kars on King, a free downtown event featuring various vehicle makes and models dating back to 1991 and older.

The city invited residents with a classic (model year of 1991 or older) and in mint shape, to put the wheels on display during the event. Register your ride at Oshawa.ca/KarsonKing by August 12, (while spaces last). Registration is free of charge, however all vehicles must register in order to participate in Kars on King.

Admission to the event is free. Kars on King features free, fun activities for all ages, including:

  1. Classic car displays;
  2. Live entertainment on the Main Stage at the four corners of downtown Oshawa (King Street and Simcoe Street);
  3. Opening ceremonies on the Main Stage at 5 pm;
  4. Children’s entertainers, crafts, animal acts and more at Memorial Park (near Simcoe Street and Metcalfe Street);
  5. Community displays;
  6. Sponsor activations;
  7. Strolling buskers; and a
  8. Wide variety of culinary choices from various downtown Oshawa restaurants

The city asked visitors to share event photos with tag @CultureCounts on Twitter and Facebook and use the hashtags #OshEvents, #KarsonKing for a chance to win local prizes.
