Expanded command team takes over at Durham Police

Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS) yesterday announced that the two new deputy chiefs have joined the now expanded command team.

“We are pleased to be joined by two new Deputy Chief’s – Chris Kirkpatrick and Kim Yeandle. They will join CAO Stan MacLellan, Deputy Chief Dean Bertrim and Chief Moreira to form the DRPS Command Team. Welcome to DRPS,” said a police alert.

In mid-December, DRPS announced that the Durham Regional Police Services Board had selected Toronto Police Service Superintendent Chris Kirkpatrick and former Acting Deputy Chief of the Toronto Police Service, Kim Yeandle, ected as the next Deputy Chiefs of Police of the DRPS. They were supposed to assume their new roles effective January 9, 2024.
