Fake IDs seized from driver who refused to identify self

durham Police said two males are facing fraud related charges after a traffic stop in Oshawa.

On Tuesday, September 3, at about 6 pm, members from the East Division Community Response Unit were on proactive patrol in the area of Stevenson Road South and Gibb Street when they stopped a motor vehicle for a Highway Traffic Act violation.

During the course of the investigation, the driver refused to identity himself. The males in the vehicle were detained and as a result numerous counterfeit identity documents were located and seized, said police.

A man, age 24, and another male, age 29, both of Quebec, were charged and held for a bail hearing. Name and further details available at www.drps.ca.
